Hi and thanks for visiting! My name is Colin Smith and I live in Liverpool.
I first started dancing back in 1995 when I saw a TV programme that showed what line dancing was all about. I decided to try this out and followed it from there. I learnt the 1st advanced level dance (Fever) in 1996, and then decided to try out competition work. I did have some success, but after that I thought about trying out teaching it. I made the neccessary enquiries and passed a NVQ level 3 in Owner Management Business Planning. Then I struck out and have been ever since.
I also tried out ballroom, latin & sequence in 2008, and now that is added to the teaching aspect. I run one Tea dance and it is very well attended. A sequence dance is usually taught each week. New faces are always made welcome, wether they are pro dancers, or even if they have never tried this style at all. The people that come to the tea dance are a very jovial crowd. It's always a pleasure to welcome people to it, and most of them go home smiling and laughing! I have started doing a monthly saturday evening dance night, and that is when all the special dances are included. What are special dances? Just come to saturday evenings and you will see!
The other classes I run are both line dance. The full list of classes is under the Classes tab
